Balance

Movement
Crouched low and inching forward with quiet footsteps and bright eyes, he aims for the shot… Stifle that scream --- This is not a horror movie but rather our everyday life, ending with a shutter’s click.  The most natural movements are born from comfort.  Using long shutter speeds, panning the camera or using an array of other tricks in our bags, we unobtrusively observe from the sidelines for the shots that create your story.

Light
The Bay Area is a seasonless community draped in ever changing daylight, basking in sunlight one minute and rolling in fog the next.  Before you resort to playing “Marco Polo” to find your photographer or using the local fog horn as your homing beacon, Arrowood Photography will already have your world ideally lit, be it naturally or artificially.  We master, design and work with light quickly so that you remember the occasion, not the circumstances.

Emotion
You’ve seen it on television --- photographers enthusiastically directing models with shouts of, “Now give me sexy!  Mysterious!  Adventurous!”  …How about we give you a chance to just be yourself???  Our pictures may capture but a single moment in time, but we orchestrate it with all the right ingredients to evoke the emotion that is precise to that moment.  Live your life.  Let us capture it.  We think that’s the best direction available.
