About Arrowood Photography The Bay that surrounds us finds its beauty in its balance of strength and grace --- strong enough to pound statuesque cliffs out of rocks, gentle enough for a child to wade by the shore with the family dog, playful enough to coax an armada of surfers, kite boarders, windsurfers and swimmers to join the seals for a frolic, alluring in its changing colors as the sun dips behind the horizon. At Arrowood Photography, we live by this idea of embracing life’s balance in order to find beauty, because we are the yin and the yang that it represents. In her earlier engineering career, Tara Arrowood observed and designed according to the inner workings of her surroundings --- what nature provides, where humans react and how the two might co-exist in the best balance of harmony. It is this same talent, paired with a passionate artistic eye and technical expertise, that brought us the birth of Arrowood Photography in 2001.
In the past eleven years, Tara has studied with a number of local professional photographers to hone her talent behind the camera while fine-tuning her understanding of the diversity of the Bay Area. Whether a mesmerizing marriage vow or an exotic interior design shoot, Tara commits to finding the beauty of the moment, to bringing out the personality, letting it shine through all the way to the other side of the camera to the negative… having you look at it and say “that’s me!” from the heart, not just another pose for the camera.
