Approach
What matters most? YOU! Having recently been married in 2010, Arrowood personally knows the importance given to every single detail of your big day – both from a wedding photographer’s point of view and bride’s perspective. Not only is importance given to documenting your big day as a photographer, but she also is a friend who cares about helping to make your special day the most amazing moment in your life. She’s everyplace at once, but always by your side.
Arrowood’s photography style is all about capturing the moment and focusing on detail in a completely unobtrusive manner and photojournalistic manner with a fashion twist. Having a graceful disposition and calming influence, Arrowood is able to provide every client with endless positive energy and an ability to bring out their own sense of comfort; hence capturing “real life” documentary-style shots. Photographs are real and un-posed with the utmost importance given to lighting, which is generally airy, bright and very natural.
Inspired by capturing raw emotion and expression with natural surroundings, Arrowood seeks for every photo to have individual personality and extreme attention-to-detail, both during production and after. Extra focus is given to your photographs during post-production, where every photo is carefully edited using a variety of artistic effects: saturation can be used to exaggerate the intensity of the moment or de-saturation is often used to soften an expression. But most importantly, every photo is unique.
Because many wedding details have a story behind them, Arrowood strives to develop relationships with each of her clients well before the big day, hence providing a foundation for a connection between photographer and client, as well as inspiration before, during, and after your wedding day. While every couple and wedding may be different, Arrowood gives the same high level of dedication, energy and genuine excitement to everyone. Arrowood wants every couple to be satisfied and inspired by their photos. It’s what motivates Arrowood to continue her passion and love for photography.
An award-winning and nationally published photographer, Tara is also a member of the WPPI (Wedding & Portrait Photographers International) and WPJA (Wedding Photojournalist Association), where she has won numerous photography awards for the past six years.
