San Francisco Botanical Garden & California Academy of Sciences

This wedding brought together two extraordinary settings in Golden Gate Park. The ceremony took place surrounded by the natural beauty of the San Francisco Botanical Garden, followed by an evening reception at the California Academy of Sciences. Moving from an outdoor garden ceremony to one of San Francisco’s most distinctive museums gave the celebration two completely different settings without ever leaving Golden Gate Park.

We love the contrast between these two spaces. The Botanical Garden gives us lush greenery, open space and beautiful natural light for the ceremony and portraits. Then the Academy completely changes the mood. After hours, the aquarium, rainforest and dramatic architecture create an unexpected backdrop for an energetic Indian wedding reception. Together, they offer an incredible amount of visual variety within one celebration.
