Indian weddings ask more of a photography and cinema team. Multiple events. Hundreds of guests. Changing locations and wardrobes. Sacred traditions alongside completely unscripted moments.

Our job is to understand what's coming without making ourselves part of it. After photographing Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, fusion and multicultural celebrations for more than two decades, we know when to anticipate, when to guide, and when to quietly get out of the way.

What I Love About Indian Weddings

I love the beautiful chaos of Indian weddings. They aren't meant to be perfectly controlled. They're alive.

Everyone participates, everyone has a role, and traditions are passed from one generation to the next right in front of you.

I love the aunties taking care of everyone. I love the performances—dance stories told by children, cousins, parents and grandparents. I love the respect for elders and married couples. And the elders themselves? I love the elders.

Then there are the colors, the jewelry and the clothes. Multiple outfit changes, each with meaning. Brilliant color that somehow feels both incredibly elegant and completely comfortable. Jewelry and gemstones handed down through generations, carrying family history along with them.

I love the food and the constant reminder to eat, eat, eat. I love the energy, the enormous families, and the way everyone seems to get pulled into the celebration rather than simply watching it.

And I love the traditions themselves. Years ago, when I was planning my own wedding, I remember thinking that I wanted to incorporate elements of an Indian wedding ceremony because so many of the rituals simply made sense to me. They speak to family, partnership, respect, continuity and the generations that came before.

After photographing Indian weddings for more than two decades, that's still what stays with me. They're colorful and loud, sacred and funny, elegant and messy, sometimes all at once.

They're not about perfection. They're about tradition, family and being fully part of it.

Questions About Indian Weddings

Have you photographed our type of ceremony before?

Very likely. We've photographed Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Jain, fusion and multicultural ceremonies across California. If your traditions are new to us, we'll learn them thoroughly with your family before the day.

Can you photograph all of our wedding events?

Yes. Full-weekend coverage is how we prefer to work—from the mehndi and sangeet through the ceremony and reception—so the entire celebration is documented as one continuous story.

How many photographers will we need?

It depends on guest count, the number of simultaneous events, and your venue. After learning your plans, we'll recommend the team size that fits and never more than the celebration actually requires.

How do you handle large family portrait lists?

We build the list with you in advance and run portraits in a planned order, with a team member calling groups so families move through quickly and everyone gets back to the celebration.

Do you travel for Indian weddings?

Yes. We're based in Northern California and regularly travel throughout the state and beyond for multi-day celebrations.
